Is there any way (preferably API) to map a SUA uid to the equivalent Windows SID? I see some references to the command uid2sid, the man page for which mentions uidtosid(), which I cannot find anywhere.

Thanks,

To your other question:
Well, SUA is the stock Posix subsystem as of Windows 2003/R2.

The history is that a Posix subsystem was released with NT3 to meet contracts.
