.$delete-... file showing up in directory
Any ideas where this file .$deleted-1cb3ee22b379a9a is coming from? It showed up during a backup and was skipped because it could not be opened. The file was in a directory that normally has no files in it, just other directories.

Additional information:

The file does not show up with ls -la *deleted*

ls -la > ls.log gives

ls: .$deleted-1cb3ee22b379a9a: Device busy

Re:.$delete-... file showing up in directory
Found an answer. This was covered back in 2005 and 2008. The device busy is the key. rsync was the backup part of the problem along with write cacheing on the drive.

Thanks
